Actually, Spring Break is what and when you make it.
As with most places across America, life is a bit different today. More uncertain and tentative. With beaches closed and businesses all in a situation of uncertainty, it makes little sense for us to smile and say “Come on Down!”
We admit to being a cheerleader for Alabama’s Gulf Coast. That’s not going to change. We are proponents of what an amazing getaway destination this is and what a family-friendly place it will always be.
Spring Break doesn’t have to be right now! We’re here when you’re ready.
It may not be as quickly as we hope for, but, we will all come out of this situation healthy, stronger and more united.
And, we will all be ready for some rest, relaxation and fresh, Gulf Coast Air.
So, let’s all remember the things that make this area so special:
Sugar White Beaches and Amazing Vistas.
Sun and sand are everywhere. There’s parasailing, beach volleyball, or simply walking along the Gulf at sunrise. At last count, we have about 17,000 lodging options and we are always happy to help with finding the best home values for purchase.
Great Food Variety
There’s a wealth of restaurants with an amazing variety of foods selections and cultural variety. Gulf Shores has restaurants and establishments that truly cater to every palate and every budget.
Fishing and Wildlife
The choices of relaxing fishing excursions are plentiful whether you stay near the reefs or travel further off-shore. You can always stay ashore and explore Orange Beach and Gulf State Park. You’ll be close to migrating birds like herons, bald eagles, brown pelicans and more. A peaceful way to spend your getaway time.
Stay safe and focus on the future. Please keep us on your list of great American Places you want to visit….soon!
Hangout Festival
As of this writing, this big event is still slated for May 15-17. However, the organizing committee admits to an ever-changing set of variables and is considering multiple scenarios to keep the event moving forward. Hotel and vacation rental companies have agreed to postpone deposits or payments until May 1. We are going to stay on top of this fluid situation.
