Gulf Shores has culinary diversity, interesting tourist attractions, and extensive options for both water and land-based activities. As a resort area, this community appeals to couples, families, and even solo travelers with equal allure.
The Best Beaches Anywhere
You will discover that our Gulf Shores beaches are distinctive. With sand the color and consistency of sugar, you may have never experienced anything like it. Soothing warm waters where you can spend the day in the surf – or, just watching the waves roll in. Enjoying the salt breeze under a shady canopy could be your particular dream of ideal relaxation. Other daytime activities include scenic cruises, dolphin-watching and hiking. Gulf Shores and Orange Beach are beach communities, and for the most part the beaches are uncrowded, even during peak times of the day. It is a great environment to spend time getting closer to your family.

Great Natural Attractions
Away from the surf and waves, you can easily plan a full day of outdoor recreation at Gulf State Park. There is a weekly activities calendar to spark some ideas – or, you can strike out and explore on your own. The park is well-maintained and offers hiking trails, a pier and public beaches. You can even rent trail or beach bikes, kayaks, Segways, and paddleboards to use in the park.
Gulf State Park Pie is a popular spot for fishing and people watching. For a few dollars you can come and go from the 1,540-foot-long public pier all day. The pier provides some scenic panoramas to take in the sun and watch surfers and swimmers relax in the Gulf breeze.
